Accademia Costume & Moda students finalize collection of Valentino Industry Project

Students of Italian fashion school Accademia Costume & Moda (ACM) finalized their creations of the Valentino Industry Project called "ENVISIONING A CLEAR STYLE_NOTHING IN THE MIDDLE". The project is a collaboration with Maison Valentino, that involves the Master’s Degree in Alta Moda, Fashion Design, where 18 students developed a capsule collection of at least 10 outfits.

The project was launched by fashion designer Pier Paolo Picciolo and Design Director Valentino Haute Couture Yvan Mispelaere. The project, housed in the ACM headquarters in Rome, offers training which are divided into several workshops, all designed to train skilled professionals on the entire process of design and construction of a couture garment.

Italian haute couture is the bearer of a way of life and a unique language that are the fruits of our identity and help to strengthen it. A treasure to protect and to keep promoting," said ACM in a press release.

The goal of the project is to create a balance between personal research and the identity of the Maison, working with a provocative and at the same time professional approach. The knowledge of the history of fashion, art and design, the design and tailoring expertise, the analysis of Valentino's DNA and vision are essential elements to address and deepen the design issues.
