Esmod, a French fashion design and business school, is aware of the digital revolution in the world and wants to support its future students in adapting to the fashion industry. In this era of time, the fashion school has launched a Meta-Wear class dedicated to the creation of digital fashion.

Scheduled for the start of the 2022 academic year, these courses will be dedicated to developing the skills of future digital fashion designers specialising in Metaverse and NFT. According to Esmod, NFTs, valuable objects in the Metaverse, attract a new target of consumers who are as connected as they are influential but, above all, represent great career opportunities for young designers mastering digital creation tools.

The Meta-Wear class is accessible in the second year of the “Fashion Designer” undergraduate program. Students will learn to use digital tools such as Clo 3D, Blender, Maya, and Daz3D. At the same time, they will also be trained on the technical aspect with modelling lessons. Other practical courses will also be taught in the class, including gaming, history, and current events in the fashion industry. At the end of this program, the students will have the possibility of presenting a complete virtual collection project. Students from this class will be able to apply for digital professions such as a digital fashion designer, creative and technical designer, 3D product designer, 3D pattern maker, NFT designer or a video game fashion designer.

The school is also planning a short, five-month metaverse program offered to professionals who want to develop skills in digital creation.
