Grant to launch in the Netherlands to follow a training or course

In the Netherlands, a website will be launched on 1 March so that those who want to can submit an application for a maximum of 1,000 euros to follow a training, course or education, according to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment.

It is estimated that 300,000 people will be able to get the grant however “how many people can be helped with this depends on the amount of the requested amounts," said the spokesperson in a statement.

The allowance is available for those "working and non-working people, but about the Dutch labour market," the spokesperson explained.

Additionally, to apply the person has to be an EU citizen or the partner of someone who is and be aged between eighteen and the state pension age.

If the application is successful, the amount is transferred by the UWV, an employee insurance agency, to the institute where the training is being followed.
