New York City-based fashion university LIM College has announced new summer programs for young students. Focused on the study of business and fashion, the short-term courses aim to bring students to New York to learn firsthand about the fashion industry.

Its new Fashion Lab course is a pre-college program for high school students aged 17 and younger to provide insight into what it would be like to pursue a fashion degree in college. The program offers 30 interactive, one-week courses in various topics, such as starting your own fashion business, producing a fashion show and working with social media influencers.

For students aged 18 and over, LIM College offers its Summer Fashion Program. The two-week program immerses participants in the business of fashion through classes on topics including trend forecasting, buying, luxury brand marketing and the sneaker business. In the afternoons, students will take part in fashion-oriented activities such as museum visits, store visits and designer showroom visits.
