National nonprofit Delivering Good has unveiled that premium label Ralph Lauren is the recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award, with the organisation stating its decision centres around the brand’s philanthropic efforts and commitment to giving back to communities.
Described as “an extraordinary example of leadership and generosity across the retail industry and the world” by a representative of Delivering Good, the award aims to recognise the brand’s continuous efforts to support both charities and communities alike. The organisation emphasised the label’s philanthropic contribution through employee volunteerism and the support it shows for cancer care, social issues and environmental initiatives.
“It is humbling to receive this Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of the company,” said David Lauren, chief branding and innovation officer and vice chairman of the board, in a statement. “At Ralph Lauren, our purpose is to inspire the dream of a better life, and our teams are always striving to reflect this purpose and our values in the work that we do across the communities around us and the causes we support. We are proud to be a longstanding partner of Delivering Good and support them in their mission to positively impact the lives of families and individuals.”
Among the many environmental initiatives the American brand has already arranged, the label is indeed widely known for its charitable worlds. The past year has seen Ralph Lauren as one of the front runners in covid-19 relief efforts, including a Design for Good project that gave away shopping vouchers to winners of the design competition. The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation additionally distributed a large number of personal protective equipment alongside a 10 million dollar donation to covid-19 support funds.
The award will be presented to Ralph Lauren representatives at the Delivering Good annual fundraising event on November 3, in New York, in front of both a digital and live audience.
