Uniqlo Japan, part of the Fast retailing Group reported same-store sales increase of 12.3 percent year on year in May 2015, while sales at its directly-run stores increased by 12.2 percent. Total sales including online sales increased by 12.8 percent.

Same-store sales increased year on year in May, owing to unusually hot weather during the month and buoyant sales over Japan’s Golden Week holiday and a strong Fast Retailing anniversary sale. The company closed two Uniqlo stores during the month.
