April same-store sales decrease 1.7 percent at Uniqlo Japan

April same-store sales including online sales at Uniqlo Japan, part of the Fast Retailing Group, decreased by 1.7 percent year-on-year, while total sales including online sales decreased by 1.6 percent.
The company said that the slight dip in same-store sales was due to consistently cool weather weakening demand for Summer clothing.
The company opened ten Uniqlo stores and closed eight during the month. On 5 April, the company opened its first Uniqlo store in Denmark at Strøget Street in Copenhagen.
