JD Sports projects profit growth in the year ahead

Ahead of the release of its half year results, JD Sports Fashion has said that strong performance of its business has continued and subject to the continuation of positive trading, it is now well positioned to deliver profit before tax for the year ending January 28, 2017 in the upper half of current market expectations.

The range is expected to be between 170 million pounds (224 million dollars) and 190 million pounds (250.4 million dollars).
