American retailer Kohl’s has announced the appointment of Yael Cosset to its Board of Directors, effective February 2, bringing the total number of members to twelve. Cosset has been appointed to a term expiring at Kohl’s 2020 annual shareholders meeting and will be standing for election by Kohl’s shareholders at that time.

Cosset, who serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer at supermarket chain The Kroger Co., has joined the Board’s Governance and Nominating Committee.

Prior to working at The Kroger, Cosset held senior positions at Dunnhumby Ltd., a customer data science and consulting services firm, and MicroStrategy Incorporated, a business intelligence company.

“Yael is a seasoned executive leader who brings technology and digital expertise with notable retail and consumer brands”, said Kohl’s Chairman Frank Sica in a statement to the press. “This digital experience and his deep understanding of customer analytics, innovation and transformation in the retail sector will be valuable assets to Kohl’s”.
