Several leadership moves at Levi Strauss & Co.

Levi Strauss & Co. announced a series of leadership moves within its management team. The changes were made so that the company can adapt to a “changing retail environment”, said the company’s President and CEO, Chip Bergh, in a statement.

Liz O’Neill will take on the newly created role of Executive Vice President and President of Product, Innovation and Supply Chain. Her former role was Chief Supply Chain Officer. O’Neill’s new position combines the product functions of design, merchandising, product development and planning into a single team. “She will be responsible for the end-to-end view of the product lifecycle, from ideation to what ultimately shows up in stores and online”, read the statement.

Marc Rosen, who previously led the company’s e-commerce business, will now be Executive Vice President and President, Direct-to-Consumer. In this new role, he will be responsible for the consumer experience across both physical and online stores. He is succeeding Carrie Ask, who is leaving the position of Executive Vice President and President, Global Retail, to pursue another job opportunity.

Another executive leaving the company is James “JC” Curleigh, who occupied the role of President, Global Brands. He worked at Levi Strauss & Co for six years and will now pursue other opportunities.

Finally, Jen Sey, Chief Marketing Officer to the Levi’s Brand, has been promoted to report directly to the CEO. Sey has been working for Levi Strauss & Co. for 19 years.

Those interested in joining the company as well can apply for the vacancy of Senior Vice President, Strategy and Analytics, which is open. The hired candidate will report to Bergh. “This addition reflects the company’s belief that it has an untapped competitive advantage in unleashing the power of data and analytics”, said Levi Strauss & Co in its statement.
