Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT.N) is reportedly in advanced discussions to buy online men’s fashion retailer Bonobos Inc.

According to Recode, which cited sources close to the matter, WalMart and Bonobos would have agreed on a price and the deal is in final due diligence. It’s worth recalling that Nordstrom (JWN.N) is an investor in Bonobos.

Recode said that the price of the deal could not be learnt, but a retail business would likely fetch one to two times revenue. Bonobos has around 130 million dollars in revenue and was valued at 300 million dollars in 2014, according to the web’s own data.

In recent months, the world's biggest retailer has been aggressively trying to close the gap with e-commerce mogul Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O). Worth mentioning principal forces behind this new strategy: CEO Doug McMillon and new e-commerce chief Marc Lore. The latter has supervised the acquisition of three other online retailers and achieved two-day shipping free on all online orders over 35 dollars, in a clear bid to steal Amazon’s crown as the new king of e-commerce.

If confirmed, this would be WalMart’s fourth e-commerce acquisition in less than a year.

To date, both WalMart and Bonobos have not made any comments.
