Zumiez April comparable sales rise 7.8 percent

Zumiez total net sales for the four-week period ended April 29, 2017 increased 10.3 percent to 56.5 million dollars compared to 51.2 million dollars for the same period ended April 30, 2016. The company's comparable sales increased 7.8 percent against decrease of 6percent in the year ago period.

Based primarily on a higher than expected tax rate, the company expects first quarter 2017 net loss per share to be towards the low end of its guidance range of 0.17 dollar to 0.21 dollar.
