Zumiez January net sales up 14.3 percent

Zumiez said that its total net sales for the four-week period ended January 28, 2017 increased 14.3 percent to 49.4 million dollars, compared to 43.2 million dollars for the four-week period ended January 30, 2016. The company's comparable sales increased 9.4 percent for the four-week period compared to 4.6 percent in the year ago period.

Based on slightly higher than expected sales, the company now expects fourth quarter 2016 earnings per share to be at or slightly above the high-end of it previous guidance range of 0.60 dollar to 0.66 dollar.
