Los Angeles - Recently, iconic denim brand Guess launched a new project. Entitled Guess Music, the brand recently teamed up with record label Republic Records for this partnership.

The collaboration was newly announced, as Guess Music launched on the brand’s website Sunday, August 28. The launch will start off with a 24 hour premiere of Ariana Grande’s latest song, “Side to Side (feat. Nicki Minaj).” Grande, a Republic Records artist, also sports Guess’ clothing in the new video introducing the brand’s new athletic clothing line. As an additional feature, the website will allow shoppers to “get Ariana’s look” with a merchandise page.

The platform’s purpose is to bring together music and fashion in a way that hasn’t been done before. Both industries are very powerful individually, and bringing them to a harmony is a wy to bring in a new form of collaborative artistry. “I came to [Guess’ founder Paul Marciano] and was inspired by his love and understanding of how music and fashion drive each other,” said Charlie Walk, president of Republic Label Group. After talking more, Marciano and Walk teamed up to bring this collaboration to fruition. The launch takes places on Guess.com on Sunday and will continue to feature various artists around the release of their new music. Keeping these two worlds in sync, Guess is honing in on fashion’s musically driven side. Ultimately, the goal is to bring new exposure for artists as well as attention to the Guess brand. Marciano says he is “confident that this unique [partnership] will bring attention to up-and-coming musicians and launch careers in the same way that our iconic advertising campaigns have done in the past.”
