Los Angeles - J. Crew is moving further into activewear with footwear company New Balance. After a decade-long partnership, the two have decided to come together to launch a full-fledged activewear collection.

The new line will debut for the first time on Tuesday. Currently, the activewear collection features only women’s clothing however will expand to menswear in spring 2017, according to WWD. In partnering with New Balance, the decision came from needing the footwear company’s proven success in the past. “[J. Crew] did not have the expertise to do this alone,” Millard Drexler, chief executive officer and chairman of the company, told the publication. “[We] didn’t have the technical sense in getting it done.”

The collection will be available at both retailer’s online sites as well as at various locations. At J. Crew, the collection will be sold at 35 stores in the U.S. including two international stores. The collection will also be at five of New Balance’s boutiques around the country. According to the trade publication, the collection will move to other store locations based on its performance.
