It looks like Walmart has stirred the ire of some of their more conservative, Trump loving customers. The retailer is facing backlash over selling an “Impeach 45” T-shirt on their website from third-party sellers.

The shirts, which come in several shades, a baby onesie, and even a frisbee, have sent Trump’s supporters into a frenzy on his favorite social media platform, Twitter. The hashtag #BoycottWalmart has even begun trending.

It should be noted that the t-shirts aren’t actually being sold by Walmart, but, rather, third-party retailers like Old Glory who can sign up to advertise on Walmart.com, and Walmart receives a percentage of commission for each of their sales.

Walmart stirs ire of Trump supporters

Some of the merchandise has since been made unavailable since news outlets began reporting on this, but there is still plenty of anti-Trump merchandise from third-party vendors. It is not unheard of though for third-party vendors to sell politicized merchandise with slogans of impeachment or negative opinions about political figures, so either Walmart bans sales of all political merchandise from third-parties, or they let sales of this merchandise continue as usual. By virtue of the first amendment, these companies should be able to sell whatever politicized merchandise they want, although these customers are also free to take their business elsewhere.
