Amazon confirms coronavirus case of employee

Reuters has reported that Amazon has confirmed its first case of coronavirus among a United States employee. "We're supporting the affected employee who is in quarantine," a spokeswoman said to Reuters.

Two Amazon employees in Italy have also been confirmed to have coronavirus, as they were victims of the mass outbreak in Northern Italy. The American employee in question works out of Seattle, which has seen an outbreak of coronavirus that appears to have been slowly spreading through the Seattle suburbs for weeks.

Even Amazon, which continues to see record profits, likely isn't immune from the financial woes coronavirus has caused. As coronavirus continues to send the markets into a spiral, people are less likely to shop and consumer confidence is expected to decline. The ripple effects coronavirus continues to have on fashion and retail are ongoing.
