Cristiano Quieti has left his position as CEO of John Varvatos, as reported by WWD. In February 2013, Quieti left his position as CEO of Diesel USA to become CEO of John Varvatos Enterprises. He spent 18 years at Diesel turning it into the global fashion force it is today before he jumped ship to join John Varvatos.

Quieti joined the company after Lion Capital took a majority stake in the brand and developed a business plan for expansion. In a statement, the departure was described as mutual. No replacement has been announced for Quieti yet.

President, chairman, and chief creative officer John Varvatos was not immediately available for any further comment on the situation.

Under Quieti's leadership the brand seemed to be doing well, reporting sales of 250 million dollars this year.
