Vince adds on Patrik Ervell as new menswear designer

Vince just hired on a new key player for its team. The contemporary label just announced that it brought on Patrik Ervell as its new designer for menswear.

He will join the team this October as vice president of men's design at Vince. In his role, he will oversee the overall product design and will advise accordingly. “With over 10 years’ experience at the helm of his own successful label, Patrik has undoubtedly had a profound impact on the men’s wear community,” creative director and senior Vice President of Vince Caroline Belhumeur told WWD. In his new role, he will be reporting to Belhumeur directly.

In the past, Ervell has started his own eponymous line since 2006. His minimalist and modern style in the past led to his success as an elite, well-respected designer. He received the CFDA Menswear Designer of the year award previously in 2011 and 2012. In his new role at Vince, it seems that the edgy, sophisticated label may be a perfect fit.
