For the upcoming Womenswear in Nevada (WWIN) show in Las Vegas for February 2018, there will be a new director in place. The bi-annual show recently just appointed Desiree Hanson as its Vice President of fashion events.

Previously, Hanson has worked as director of luxury retail business for The NPD Group. She also worked as event director for Reed Exhibitions for Luxury Prive. She has extensive experience in both jewelry and fashion industries. Working at the Las Vegas trade show, Hanson will oversee the entire event and will be in charge of sales, management, and marketing. The show, held at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino, will have 500 exhibiting booths total. Former show director, Chad Timmy, will be assisting Hansen with the new show as a console, according to Apparel News.

“Desiree has built her career on developing strong industry relationships and working with her team to curate custom show-floor environments and create memorable experiences for event attendees and exhibitors alike,” Greg Topalian, chief executive of Clarion UX (formerly Urban Expositions, the organizer for WWIN) told the publication.

The show will take place in Las Vegas for the upcoming SS18 season. The event will span from February 12 to 15 at the Rio Hotel. The show will coincide with other various fashion trade events including WWDMAGIC, Project, Pooltradeshow, Sourcing at Magic, and Stitch.
