San Franciscans can now shop for menswear at a new Barneys location scheduled for this upcoming year. Known for its iconic style with womenswear and menswear, Barneys New York has decided to expand to the Bay Area.

This past Saturday, the retailer announced a new expansion project that means bringing a Barneys menswear store to San Francisco. The new location is set to open in the spring of 2016. The new men’s store will include a ground-floor level that will connect to the existing women’s store. The women’s store, which launched in the city in 2007, will also have renovations and alterations throughout the next upcoming years. These alterations include moving the store’s shoes and accessories department from the ground level to make room for the men’s space. The new area reserved for shoes and accessories, according to WWD, will allow for a bigger, more expansive space.

The Barneys flagship in the city currently spans over 60,000 square feet with five levels. The high-end retailer bows near local shoppers’ haven Union Square. The leading luxury retailer was founded in 1923 by Barney Pressman. Perry Capital is the current owner who acquired the brand in 2012 reducing the company’s 590 million dollar debt to only 50 million dollars. The current chief executive officer for Barneys is Mark Lee. The company has over 1,000 employees and currently operates over 30 stores based throughout the U.S.
