It's still summer, but fast-fashion brand Express already has big plans for this holiday season. The brand has announced that they will be releasing a higher priced capsule collection for Holiday 2015. The collection will be titled "Edition."

Edition represents “an evolution of Express’ philosophy for mixing runway fashion with street style,” David Kornberg, President and CEO of Express, told WWD. Edition's offerings are expected to be more edgy, refined, and sexy compared to Express's usual trendy offerings. The collection will also carry more luxury fabrics than Express is used to having, but, overall, the collection will still retain the Express character.

The 15 piece Edition capsule collection will be sold in 27 Express stores, as well and online beginning December 1, just in time for peak holiday shopping. The price point for the collection is between 80 and 500 dollars. The offerings include updated tuxedo suits, moto jackets, cocktail dresses, party dresses, and leather shorts.

The color palette will be primarily neutral with lots of black, ivory, gold, and crimson. Materials will include silk, leather, chiffon, feathers, and guipure lace. Most Express items are usually under 100 dollars, so these higher price points are a first for the brand. While this might seem like an adventurous attempt for the brand, Express has made it clear this is not just an exploratory endeavor. “This is not an experiment. We wanted to showcase our talented design team,” a spokeswoman said.
