San Francisco – It’s official, Marni is hitting up the Bay Area. This week marks the Italian fashion label’s official San Francisco store opening.

With a geometric, minimalist interior, the 3,500 square feet shop reflects the brand’s sharp silhouettes. The two-level boutique includes simplistic, monochromatic shelves as well as bended metal racks for visual display. Using angular shapes, the store adequate represents the Italian fashion house designs, especially that of its Spring 2016 collection (which consisted of slightly colorful edgy, chic silhouettes). The store focuses on a simple, behind-the-radar deco making Marni’s vibrant collection pop in a harmonious way.

Connecting the two floors of the store is a granite and glass staircase. The store’s floor has asymmetrical shapes with a marble design that range from green and gray in color. Metal and glass fixtures surround the space displaying jewelry, visual clothing displays, and more.

Consuelo Castiglioni, founder of Marni, conceptualized the new space with the brand’s true identity in mind. “We started with our organic, fluid origin, and then added new shapes and graphics,” Castiglioni told Vogue in an interview. “The Marni essence was our main reference.” Castiglioni worked with interior designer Luz Maria Jaramillo to ensure the store accentuated different shapes and sharp contrasts to give off a strong Marni-influenced vibe.

Castiglioni launched the women’s clothing label in 1994. Since then, the brand grew into a fashion house that offers bags, shoes, menswear, fragrances, and more. Similarly, the new boutique will offer a wide range of products including the brand’s newest collection, women’s ready-to-wear apparel, accessories, jewelry, and more. Located in the city’s Union Square district, the two-story store opened this Wednesday. Currently, the brand operates seven stores in the U.S. including locations in New York and Los Angeles.
