Poshmark, the social marketplace for fashion, has launched the Posh Dressing Room, a one-on-one styling experience between a buyer and a Seller Stylist that brings the essence of shopping in a physical boutique to online shopping.

As customers and shoppers are switching more to online and mobile commerce, the in-store experience of having a stylist has been lost. Poshmark came up with the concept of the Posh Dressing Room to bring back some level of human interaction and still have the personal styling experience.

Every seller on Poshmark is treated as a seller stylist curating products for the community, so the Posh Dressing Rom simply helps streamline the process.

"Since inception, Poshmark has continued to launch new services – from payment protection to shipping to product verification to a new wholesale channel – that simplify selling, shopping and styling for our fast-growing community," said Manish Chandra, founder and CEO of Poshmark. "The Posh Dressing Room is our next major innovation that will make it even easier for our Seller Stylists to service their shoppers."

Seller Stylists provide shoppers with customized styling recommendations on what to buy, curating seven million items daily, leading to a sale made every few seconds on the app. These customized styling recommendations are becoming the fastest driver of sales on the platform, with 75 percent of purchases coming from repeat buyers who regularly shop from the same Seller Stylist.
