Rent the Runway opens new west coast flagship

Brick and mortar seems to do well for Rent the Runway. The ten-year-old womenswear rental company opened a new flagship in San Francisco. The store is the company's fifth physical location.

As with Rent the Runway's existing locations, the new flagship allows renters to pick up or return rented items using a proprietary technology that enables a seamless experience for speedy drop-offs and self-service check-outs.

The new store introduces new services for its subscribers, including a co-working and lounge space with a complementary coffee bar on the third floor, as well as the company's first-ever "Beauty Bar" to allow renters to get ready on the go. Rent the Runway will also use this space to host networking events and programming catered specifically to women.

Both the second and third floors the flagship are for Rent the Runway subscribers and stocked with over 3,000 items merchandised on a daily rotation.
