Detroit-based company Shinola has continued onward with their expansion plans in order to achieve their goal. The brand, known for its mission of creating more American jobs, plans to open three flagships in major cities this year.
The leather goods brand currently opened recent stores in the following cities: Miami, Dallas, and Palo Alto. Expanding in big cities, as reported by the New York Times, the brand plans to open flagships in Chicago, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles. All of these locations are scheduled to open early in the summer of this year. The minimalist brand will also incorporate other facets along with their retail boutiques. For example, their Los Angeles location will also feature a bakery outpost. It will be located in the Arts District in downtown and will encompass about 5,000 square feet. The other aforementioned boutiques will also range approximately around 5,000 square feet in size.
The luxury goods company, which achieved over 60 million dollars in revenue in 2014, has been using its name to improve the American economy. Opening new stores is a way that Shinola is able to bring in more employees. Last year, the brand opened a new location in NorCal and also planned for a February opening in San Francisco. Spreading towards other huge retail cities, the brand’s newest flagships are expected to open sometime this summer.
