New York - J.W. Anderson has made use of shirting fabric for a new capsule collection that is now available on Net-a-Porter. The designer has added his own flair to pinstripe fabrics, fusing, draping, knotting them, and adding some asymmetrical details. The collection was designed to be very versatile, so there is something for every woman.

“I always think the great thing about shirting is that it goes with jeans, and jeans are probably the most modern, functional garment that ever existed. That is what is so great about shirting – it is an up-play/down-play,” Anderson said to WWD.

The six-piece range includes pieces such as asymmetrical dresses, skirts, blouses, some off-the-shoulder with ruching, and a short sleeve knee-length dress with an obi-style belt. Price points for the collection range from 590 dollars for a knot shirt to 917 dollars for a wrap dress. As of today, it is available exclusively on Net-a-Porter.

Sarah Mower of voguerunway.com recently described Anderson as a "guy whose collections represent a stream of consciousness." Anderson ensured that he was conscious to create a collection with at least one piece that could fit into every woman's wardrobe. This was a smart design move on his part, and a smart business move for Net-a-Porter in terms of collaborating with him.
