Trendstop gives FashionUnited readers a first look at three essential colour directions for Spring Summer 2017. Trendstop helps to ensure that collections have the optimum expert analysis to inform color decision making. This process begins with the latest trends manifesting in ready-to-wear, as Trendstop’s catwalk team bring you the latest trends hot from the catwalk. These emerging trends are developed through further analysis, as the trend experts curate inspirational seasonal reports and evaluate each individual trends commercial value.

This week, FashionUnited Readers get an exclusive insight into which three essential colour trends from our Spring Summer 2017 forecast will have longevity for the following season. Burnt Rouge, Springtime Chartreuse and Toasted Toffee have been selected from the Earthy Spices palette; an organic palette which nods towards both retro and militant aesthetics. These rusted classic shades compliment dense wovens with a dry handle, expressing a raw aesthetic.

Burnt Rouge

Rouge red is treated with a burnt brown cast for a rich, rusted effect. Glossy leathers are enhanced with a luxe appeal, while woven tees and tinted eyewear express a retro dimension. White contrasts add cleanness.

Springtime Chartreuse

Punchy chartreuse is toned down with a fresh, spring green softness, offering a new shade for utility wear. Casual applications dominate, ranging from supple suede and durable wovens to jersey and technical padding. Crochet injects a vintage femme element.

Toasted Toffee

A warm, sweetened caramel colour adds richness to menswear, as well as a sense of 70’s retro. Suede and leather handles express a feel of classic masculinity, while white blocking injects a modern sportive contrast.
