When Hermes launched their 432,000 dollar crocodile skin diamond encrusted Birkin Bag it seemed like high-end designer goods had reached their pinnacle of luxury. Well, Hermes might be taking the pie for world's most luxurious handbag, but Linda Farrow has taken the prize for world's most luxurious sunglasses.

The brand has released a three-piece sunglass collection, retailing at 32,000 dollars a pair for some designs, making it the most expensive collection the brand has created to date. Linda Farrow creative director Simon Jablon unveiled the sunglasses at a Lane Crawford's Canton Road collection last week.

The signature piece of the collection is a pair of 18-karat yellow gold aviator design, which come with white diamonds and 24 karat gold lenses. They have also produced a white gold version with platinum lenses for 11,000 dollars, and a rose gold circular lense model for 8700 dollars.

“Even though they’re very expensive. It’s somewhat value for money,” Jablon said to WWD. “You are buying gold, you are buying diamonds, the craftsmanship on top of the design and everything that goes behind it.”

Lane Crawford only has one pair each of the sunglasses, but customers can order and further customize the designs if they wish.

Expansion is very important to Linda Farrow right now. The company recently opened stores in Hong Kong's IFC Mall and Italy's Fortei dei Marmi. They hope to double the stores global footprint with another 14 to 15 stores this year.
