Levi Strauss & Co. has officially added a new president to their company. Roy Bagattini has been promoted to executive vice president and president of Levi Strauss Americas.

Bagattini will officially begin his new role starting June 1, as reported by Apparel News. He will be moving up from his role as an executive vice president and president of the company’s Asian, Middle East and Africa operations. In his duties, he will be responsible for leading the company in their commercial operations as well as leading the Americas Division instead. He will be in charge of Levi’s for the region including the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. His previous work experiences include brewing company Carlsberg, where he drove the company’s strategy for Asia. He helped to grow the company and expand it in that particular region. Due to this experience, it seems that he is fitting for the Levi’s Americas division role, where he will be responsible for commercial operations.

The San Francisco-based company has been established since 1852. The denim company employs over 17,000 worldwide. Levi Strauss & Co. includes supporting brands such as Levi’s, Dockers, and Denizen. Currently, Levi’s has over 500 stores and is available in 110 countries.
