Italian fashion house Gucci is launching a new

made-to-measure capsule collection in June, designed by creative Director Frida Giannini and New York-born Italian entrepreneur Lapo Elkann, heir of Fiat.

Entitled ‘Lapo’s Wardrobe’, the personalised service will feature a 27-piece collection comprising of 23 looks for men and four for women, including leather goods, footwear and jewellery. Each item will be customised for a ‘personal touch’ such as including embossed initials.

Described as “a luxury sartorial service for the modern day gentleman" the collection will be unveiled during the spring/summer 2014 Milan Men’s Fashion Week, to coincide with the opening of the new dedicated Gucci menswear store.

The collection will initially be exclusively available in five Gucci stores worldwide in Milan, Paris, London, New York and Sao Paulo.

Commenting on the project, Giannini said: "Gucci's made-to-measure programme is the pinnacle of our Made in Italy expertise and allows each man to express his own style impeccably.

"Lapo perfectly embodies my vision of Italian style as an attitude, an instinct to interpret fashion in an individual yet sophisticated way. Lapo pays great attention to detail and is never afraid to take risks."

This is the second project that Gucci have worked on with Elkann; the fashion house collaborated with Fiat on the launch of the Fiat 500, as part of the Gucci automotive project in 2011.
