London - Reiss is set to expand its retail footprint in North America and is poised to open stores in New York, Miami and Yorkdale as part of its international expansion scheme.

"North America is a key market for us and we are really excited about each of the openings this year and further expanding our presence," said chairman and chief executive officer David Reiss to WWD. "We are continuing to develop our presence within the US and in particular the East Coast, and being such a highly prominent location, Madison will play a crucial role in our expansion plans."

The first store under Reiss renewed retail roll out scheme to open is in New York, located at 520 Madison Avenue, which will be swiftly followed by a smaller location at the Westfield World Trade Center, opening on August 16, 2016. Reiss recently opened a store in Toronto's CF Sherway Gardens and is set to open another store in Yorkdale's on October 17. Lastly, a 2,242 square foot store store in Miami's Brickell City center will open its doors on November 3.

Reiss noted that all the new store openings are located within "premium shopping" destinations, making them the obvious choice for the brand to open its new stores. All of the new stores are set to offer the brand's autumn 2016 collection, with the store on Madison Avenue including a personal menswear tailoring service next to a curated selection of external brands. In addition, Reiss has teamed up with D-raw Associates to design each of its new stores, to ensure each location reflects the essence of its location.

"Directional, design-led fashion has always been at the very core of Reiss and our new store concept delivers innovative modern luxury, combining traditional craftsmanship with high-concept architecture," said Reiss. "Each new store’s design will share a common narrative yet be tailored to suit its location." News of the retail roll out comes not long after the British brand was acquired by Warburg Pincus. The private equity firm took an majority stake in the label with the aim of fuelling Reiss expansion in its home market of the UK as well as oversea, with focus placed on growing in North America, Asia and Australia.
