The shopping app market is constantly growing. Fresh, new companies seem to be constantly popping up, and they are trying to find ways to stand out from their competitors.

Keep, a four-year-old shopping app, has managed to stay strong in what is becoming a very saturated market. The site currently boasts 500,000 unique visitors per month.

What makes Keep a little more unique than your average shopping app is that they use an affiliated based model, where the app links you to other sites to shop for trending items. The app is available on both iOS and Android smartphones.

The secret to the app's shopping functions is their curated algorithm that is dictated by what's trending on the internet. According to Jacquelin Wladis, the company's marketing and sales manager, they are really a media property.

Wladis herself wears many hats, including stylist, as she helps bring in everything for the site manually. Keep's listings include everything from fast-fashion to high-fashion. Brands can range from accessibly priced brands like Forever 21 to luxury labels like Fendi and Givenchy.

In the increasing age of mobile commerce, Keep proudly boasts that 80 percent of their customers shop mobile. Currently, only eight percent of the app's shoppers are men, but they hope to grow that number in the future. The beauty of Keep is that it is a discovery tool for shoppers.

"It's a way for women to learn how to shop for themselves, and even discover other things like what to buy for their men," Wladis said. "Everyone should be able to look good and express themselves. Even looking at the brand's that do well for us, like Asos curve for the plus-sized market let's us know that we're doing our job for everyone of all body types."

Aside from Asos Curve, Neiman Marcus Last Call does really well on the app as well.

While Instagram plays an important part for any fashion company, according to Wladis, Pinterest plays just as important a role as they discover what is trending.

While the shopping app market is become increasingly more competitive, Keep knows how to keep itself ahead of the crowd with fresh content.
