After launching an apparel lifestyle brand over a year ago, Ellen DeGeneres is not slowing down in fashion anytime soon. Recently, her collection, ED by Ellen, just teamed up with Camuto Group to develop handbags and offer a new category for Spring 2017.

Branching out into new territory, ED by Ellen will officially offer handbag accessories ranging from totes, backpacks, cross bodies, and other novelty items. Sticking to a style that identifies with DeGeneres’ personal fashion profile, the pieces will have unique detailing and sophisticated designs. “[The handbags are] unique. Simple and beautiful [and] perfectly put together,” she said in a statement. “They’re like if Ryan Gosling had a shoulder strap,” she said.

The handbags will launch as part of the Spring 2017 collection and will have a focus on textiles, vintage linens, and denim. Additionally, the handbags will have mixed materials and signature prints that emphasize DeGeneres’ personal spirit and style preferences. In price, the handbags will range from 128 to 278 dollars. The collection will also include small leather goods, ranging from 38 to 58 dollars in price, and wallets ranging from 68 to 78 dollars. The collection will be available through DeGeneres’ brand’s website as well as in department stores and specialty boutiques.

Most known for her personality and popular talk show host, this is one of DeGeneres’ more daring ventures into fashion. "I set out to fill a void in the marketplace of high quality, comfortable yet chic and easy-to-wear pieces with impeccable detailing,” said DeGeneres in a statement when the collection first launched. The handbags addition comes after the brand has proven its success and profitability. Within 24 hours of launching, her lifestyle brand acquired over 300,000 registered users. In addition to a successful amount of registered customers, some of her pieces also sold out within the first week. These pieces included her Oversized Striped Crew Neck Sweatshirt, Cotton Bomber Jacket, and some other home decor items.

Originally ED by Ellen launched June 30, 2015 with home, apparel, and accessories merchandise. Since partnering with Camuto Group, ED by Ellen has also expanded by offering footwear late last year. Forming a multi-year deal with the company, DeGeneres brought in sneakers and other shoes that fit within the ED by Ellen fashion style. “[Now] you can literally walk a mile in my shoes, or even further if you choose,” DeGeneres told WWD of her footwear addition to the label. Since the footwear in her brand did well, it was only a natural progress to add other categories to the brand. "Since the launch of ED Ellen DeGeneres footwear, we have had incredible success and are looking forward to expanding our partnership with the brand,” Alex Del Cielo, chief executive officer of Camuto Group said in a statement.

In addition to the footwear, ED by Ellen offers tailored button down shirts, baseball hats, jackets, shorts, and drawstring pants. The collection is made from fabrics such as cotton French terry sweatshirts, Italian fabrics, and woven materials. The American lifestyle brand, inspired by DeGeneres iconic personality and style, was launched as a joint partnership with Ellen DeGeneres and Christopher Burch, chief executive officer of Burch Creative Capital. The brand is currently available through its e-commerce site: EDbyEllen.com
