Los Angeles - The Los Angeles International Textile Show (LA Textile) just announced some new changes and innovations to its fall show this year. The Southern California show announced that it will be adding new product categories, exhibitor groups, and a new sourcing showcase.

Returning to the California Market Center (CMC) from September 26-28, this year’s show will unveil a new Sourcing Pavilion. With this, LA Textile will be adding more exhibitors in this show which will span in a variety of categories. Confirmed categories include factories, patternmakers, samplemakers, specification companies, cutting, dyeing, and textile testing. Exhibitors that are confirmed for the Sourcing Pavilion include Classy Dyeing & Finishing, DJ Laundry Wash & Dye House, Jennifer Loel Designs Production & Sewing Services, and Meide Textile Design Studios.

The reason for this addition is due to the increase in exhibitors catering to product development needs over past shows. This way, attendees that come to this show are able to have more options available to them. “LA Textile has a long history as an essential destination for designers on the West Coast and the addition of Sourcing truly transforms the show into a vital, one-stop resource for designers, production managers, and product development teams,” said Brittany Carr, director of tradeshows.

LA Textile partners with Peclers Paris and expands sourcing

Other features that are new for the textile show include expanding its show floor to the penthouse of the CMC. The new space will allow for the new sourcing showcase as well as the Korean Textiles Pavilion. Organized by Korean Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA LA), the Korean Pavilion will feature some of Korea’s top fabric mills and sourcing companies. This will be next to the Sourcing Pavilion, so that the sourcing exhibitors are closely together on one floor.

The show additionally has partnered with industry influencers including Perclers Paris, a global trend forecasting agency. Peclers Paris will show key trends for Fall/Winter 2017/2018 focusing on fabrics and trims. “As a new wave of designers and tastemakers are continuously calling Los Angeles their home and workplace, Peclers is pleased to support this expanding creative community,” said Jennifer Karuletwa, West Coast business development director for Peclers Paris.

The LA Textile show will take place from September 26-28 this year at the CMC. The textile, design, and production show offers hundreds of fabric selections, design services, and sourcing companies from global resources.
