Ben Sherman expands retail presence in Shanghai

British men's wear brand Ben Sherman has continued its efforts for global retail expansion by opening their first stores in China in Shanghai. The store has opened at the Hopson Mall, and another store has opened at Sogo department store.
With China's economy rebounding, Shanghai is being looked at Asia's next influential fashion hub. It makes sense, as it is one of the world's busiest financial centers.
"We are honored to launch Ben Sherman in both Sogo and Hopson locations. These distinct retail destinations are prime for Ben Sherman, with an influential core of loyal millennial consumers,” said Stanley Chou, groupé gm at MRH Sparotica Groupé, overseeing Ben Sherman China. “Sogo is amongst the Top 5 department stores in Mainland China and our ability to open our first store here speaks volumes about the brand's history and credibility in the global market."
Ben Sherman's new Sogo store is located in the Jing'An district, one of the central districts of Shanghai, which is also home to China's most influential fashion street "Nanjing Road." The anchor retail destination there is the Sogo department store.
The Ben Sherman Hopson One store is located at the Hopson Mall in Yang'Pu district, Northern Shanghai, in close proximity to the recently opened Apple Hopson One store. The Hopson Mall is a shopping and entertainment hub aimed at upper middle class residents. Traffic at the mall can peak at 80,000 visitors on a weekend.
