H.E. by Mango, the menswear arm of the Spanish fashion label, is set to launch its new sportswear collection, which the label has dubbed

'Performance'.

The collection was created to “satisfy sporting requirements” and the garments consist of a wide range of fabrics designed for a number of physical activities. The different styles in the line are separated into different groups according to sporting categories. For example, the training line from the 'Performance' collection comprises of fleece items, training pants, as well as 100 percent cotton T-shirts.

H.E. by Mango also created a range of “more technical and breathable products with ergonomic lines made of cotton and polyester,” for its training line which are said to ensure the comfort and modernity of the collection. For its running line, the family-owned label created garments which hug the contours of the body, to offer full mobility, as well as comfort when jogging or running.

The collection has been created to cater for every need of the runner, with breathable fabrics which expel perspiration and offer protection from inclement weather. Windbreakers, sweatshirts, T-shirts and a wide range of trousers make up the collection and make it possible to create a total running outfit.

'Performance' is set to hit stores this September and will be available at select H.E. By Mango stores as well as online via www.hebymango.com. The announcement for the new collection comes not long after Mango cut its revenue forecast for the next four years due to slow sales of the label's new lines.

Mango previously launch children and womenswear lingerie collections in 2013, and has launched its plus-sized range and teenager line this year as part of the labels ten year expansion plan. "Business is going fine, but the new brands will take longer to get a following," said Enric Casi, CEO of Mango concerning its forecast cut.
