Fashion retailer Zara is teaming up with American professional basketball league, the NBA, on a capsule collection of t-shirts for boys

The partnership marks Zara's and the NBA’s first direct-to-retailer licensing deal and includes three t-shirts aimed at boys aged 3 to 12. Popular teams the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers get their own designs, while the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, and Miami Heat share the spotlight on one t-shirt featuring multiple logos.

Commenting on the collection, NBA’s Global Merchandising Group’s executive vice president, Salvatore Larocca, said: “Zara is a global leader in the fashion industry and through this partnership, we will have the ability to offer great new products to our growing international fan base.

“This new collection offers a stylish and casual way for our young fans around the world to show their passion for the NBA.”

The Inditex brand has less than 50 stores in the United States and it is hoped that this collaboration could help raise the profile of the retailer. The line will be sold across America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, as well as online at Zara.com.
