Banana Republic is teaming up with Issa London, the London-based brand known for designing Kate Middleton’s blue engagement dress, to launch a limited-edition collection. The London Fashion Week brand has previously collaborated

with The Outnet, however the 40-piece capsule collection for Banana Republic will not only raise the profile of the label, but will also open it up to a wider audience as the pieces will retail under 100 pounds, as opposed to the normal 400 pounds price tag for one of their wrap dresses.

Launching in August, the collection created by Issa designer Daniella Helayel, has been inspired by Banana Republic’s safari heritage and features kimono-style dresses, and Issa’s signature wrap-tie and pleated dresses in block colours and a variety of prints such as zebra and leopard patterns.

In addition to the ready-to-wear pieces, the line will also include a range of jewellery and accessories, such as gold nugget and cord necklaces, patterned scarves and a pebbled leather envelope clutch.

Commenting on the collaboration, Simon Kneen, Banana Republic's creative director and executive vice president of design, said: "We were immediately inspired by Banana Republic's heritage of safari adventures when we dreamt up this collection together.

"Issa London's effortlessly chic style complements our global Banana Republic consumer who is on the go and needs to transition her look seamlessly from day to night."

The range will be stocked in 450 Banana Republic stores across the US and around 700 international stores, as well as online, and according to the statement, prices for the apparel will range from 69.50 dollars for a jumper to 150 dollars for a dress, while the jewellery and accessory pieces will range from 39.50 dollars for a bracelet to 150 dollars for a tote bag.
