Eyewear manufacturer Marcolin and Harley-Davidson have renewed a multi-year licensing agreement for the design, production and worldwide distribution of sunglasses and optical frames under the Harley-Davidson brand name until December 31, 2018.

The licensing deal was originally signed by Viva International Group in 1994, which was bought in late 2013 by Marcolin, and the renewal has been expanded to include the Marcolin Group.

"Such action reflects the growth of Harley-Davidson's optical business in all major countries, particularly in North America," Marcolin said in a statement.

The Harley-Davidson collection of sunglasses and optical frames are sold in most prestigious optical stores worldwide, as well as the Harley-Davidson dealers, primarily in the US.

Along with Harley-Davidson, the Viva acquisition also added optical licenses for the likes of Guess, Glove, Catherine Deneuve, and Skechers. They all join Marcolin’s designer portfolio which includes brands such as Tom Ford, Montblanc, Balenciaga, Roberto Cavalli, Dsquared2 and Diesel, Ermenegildo Zegna and Emilio Pucci.
