Lipsy opens first international stores

Lipsy, the UK-based fashion brand, has launched its

first international stores in UAE at the Mall of the Emirates, Dubai and Mirdif City Centre, Dubai. The new openings mark Lipsy’s first stores following its multi-territory franchise deal with the Landmark Group, which was announced last November.

The retailer, which was acquired by Next in 2008, has further openings planned in the Mall of Dubai and further stores in Dubai, Bahrain and Qatar throughout 2012.

Emma Dobson, head of international and business development at Lipsy said: "These initial openings in Dubai mark an exciting chapter in Lipsy’s ongoing success story. The Lipsy brand has rapidly-growing global appeal and recognition and as such, since doors opened earlier this month, initial customer response has exceeded expectation.

"Lipsy is committed to international expansion and we look forward to exploring further opportunities for growth this year."

Lipsy also sells internationally through concessions in Bloomingdales in the United States; Galeries Lafayette, France; Robinsons, Singapore and Myer, Australia.
