The Pistol Club moves from wheels to bricks-and-mortar store

The Pistol Club, Los Angeles-based boutique, recently opened up on Abbot Kinney. The shop marks the brand’s move from mobile shop to bricks-and-mortar store.

Shelly Glascock, founder and chief executive officer of Pistol Club, decided to make the move because of her connection with the community. Her previous relationships with the shop owners next door to the space she would soon occupy cemented the Pistol Club’s flagship. “It feels like being part of a big family,” said Glascock.

Previously, The Pistol Club operated in Venice on wheels. Glascock will sell her vintage-inspired clothing to passersbys. Since the move, The Pistol Club has really been able to zone in and target its desired customers increasing its Los Angeles customer following. “I feel like before I would get a mix of different customers, but now people can pinpoint exactly where I am,” said Glascock. The Pistol Club on wheels used to do pop-ups at various events. The Abbot Kinney location has been a more stable space for the bohemian boutique.

The Pistol Club was founded by Glascock in 2011. The seventies-infused apparel the store offers ranges from jumpsuits, separates, tops, bottoms, and more. In the future, Glascock hopes to open more stores in Los Angeles. Her ideas include combining a roller rink or bowling alley within a store.
