Luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton made its World Cup debut at last

Sunday’s final in South Africa which saw Spain crowned the winners after claiming a victory over Holland.

All eyes were on the Louis Vuitton World Cup travel case unveiled by captain of the Italian football team Fabio Cannavaro who safely guarded the custom-made case onto the pitch at the end of the game.

Pietro Beccari, Executive Vice-President of Louis Vuitton, commented: “We are very proud to have been chosen by FIFA to create the case in which the world’s ultimate sporting prize will in future travel the globe. This exceptional order truly honours Louis Vuitton’s 150-year tradition of craftsmanship and savoir-faire. We were also particularly excited to be associated in such a way with the FIFA World Cup final, an event which unites nations the entire world.”

Fifa requested the world’s number one luxury bag manufacturer to create the travel case earlier this year. Naomi Campbell unveiled the first preview of the case last month in Paris.
