Gap supports destruction left by Sandy

Many fashion and retail businesses have been affected by hurricane

Sandy, with losses already being estimated in the billions.

The American Red Cross requested retailers to donate clothing, and Gap Inc confirmed it will donate more than 250,000 dollars of clothing in addition to a cash donation of 750,000 dollar to go to critical help victims and areas.

“Our hearts go out to all those affected by Hurricane Sandy, including thousands of our employees throughout the region,” said Glenn Murphy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gap Inc.  “We are proud to support the good work being done by the American Red Cross, and hope these contributions will make a difference in the lives of those who are suffering."
