Ferragamo on a growth track, revenues up 7.4 percent

Salvatore Ferragamo releasing its preliminary consolidated revenues for the fiscal year 2015 said that it amounted to 1,430 million euros (1,560 million dollars) up by 7.4 percent at current exchange rates and by 1.3 percent at constant exchange rates. Revenues increased 9 percent in the fourth quarter of 2015).

All geographies performed well

The Asia Pacific area revenues were up by 4 percent and in 4Q the growth was over 8 percent, despite the deterioration of the business in Hong Kong. The retail channel in China recorded a 10 percent growth compared to the same period in 2014, and over 10 percent in 4Q 2015.

Europe posted an increase in revenues of 7 percent in FY2015 and 9 percent in the fourth quarter. North America, penalized by the strong currency and the decrease of touristic flows, registered an increase in revenues of 9 percent in FY2015 and 8 percent in Q4 2015. The Japanese market showed an increase in revenues of 14 percent in FY2015 and 18 percent in Q4. At constant exchange rates the growth was15 percent in FY2015 and 13 percent in 4Q2015.

Revenues in Central and South America showed solid results with an increase of 12 percent in FY2015 and 4 percent in 4Q2015). At constant exchange rates the growth was 8 percent in FY2015 and 3 percent in 4Q2015.

Revenues by distribution channel

As of December 31, 2015, the Salvatore Ferragamo Group's Retail network could count on 391 Directly Operated Stores (DOS), while the wholesale and travel retail channel included 271 TPOS, as well as presence in major department stores and high-end multi-brand specialty stores. In FY2015 and Q4 the retail distribution channel posted consolidated revenue rise of 7 percent. At constant exchange rates the growth was 1 percent both in FY2015 and 4Q 2015

The wholesale channel delivered in FY2015 a growth of over 7 percent and over 12 percent in 4Q 2015).

Among the product categories, handbags and leather accessories posted a growth of 12 percent in FY2015 and 14 percent in 4Q 2015. In 4Q 2015 also fragrances and licenses registered a solid performance of over 18 percent and over 44 percent respectively.
