Dior to showcase couture show in China

Christian Dior is to stage a couture show in Shanghai over

the weekend as the luxury fashion house continues to tap into the wider client base that China has to offer.

This will be the second time the brand has presented its couture offering in China, but the first under the creative direction of Raf Simons, and will feature a repeat outing for the spring 2013 haute couture collection that was first showcased in January during Paris Couture Week.

Dior’s chief executive Sidney Toledano told Agence France-Presse that the brand was attracting a wider couture client base and that China represented the “big market of tomorrow”.

The show will take place on March 30 and clients will be invited to book appointments to make purchases in the days following the show.
