H&M extending retail presence

Swedish retailer H&M has announced plans to open its first store in Serbia, further extending

the fashion stores global presence.

The debut H&M store in Serbia will be located in the countries capital Belgrade, and is scheduled to open during autumn 2013.

Commenting on the new store, Karl-Johan Persson, CEO at H&M, said: "We look very much forward to opening the first H&M store in Belgrade. We are excited to be able to offer fashion and quality at the best price to our customers in Serbia from autumn 2013.”

Serbia isn’t the only new market that H&M plans to enter this year; the fashion chain has stores planned for Chile, Estonia and Lithuania during 2013, as well as a store in Indonesia via franchise.
