Net-a-Porter.com is exclusively launching Karl Lagerfeld’s

new line Karl, tomorrow with coordinated global launches in five different cities: Paris, New York, London, Berlin and Sydney.

Each city will host pop-up window shops, showcasing the luxury retailer’s edit of the Karl line displayed on vinyl graphics. Using the Net-a-Porter Karl app, powered by Aurasma, visitors can shop and win by scanning products using their iPhone or iPad2.

In addition, visitors to the window shop will receive limited edition Karl goodie bags and t-shirts, with the first 50 visitors receiving a pair of iconic Karl leather gloves or a collar from the collection.

London's  event will be held at Covent Garden's Unit 3 at 3.30pm on Wednesday, whilst the designer himself will celebrate the launch in Paris; opening a mysterious cube bearing his face that appeared on Friday in Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés, which contains unseen film footage.

The collection features more than 70 pieces including draped jersey dresses, classic pants, sweatshirts, skirts, shirts, dresses, T-shirts, shoes and bags. Channelling Lagerfeld's distinct aesthetic, the colour palette is predominantly black and white with a rock 'n' roll edge. Prices for the collection start at £20 for a canvas bag.

This is the second time that the retailer has used the window shop concept, the first being for Fashion’s Night Out in London and New York in September.
