Neiman Marcus to open New York flagship

Luxury department store group Neiman Marcus is to open a 20 billion dollar flagship in Manhattan's west

side.

The Hudson Yard location will boast a 1 million square foot commercial and residential development, of which Neiman Marcus will take 250,000 square foot over three floors.

The lease was signed on Tuesday, CEO Karen Katz told The New York Times. She said the new West Side Neiman Marcus store would ''appeal to a broader luxury and fashion customer.''

''This entire project has been bespoke-tailored around Neiman Marcus,'' Kenneth Himmel, the executive at Related who is in charge of the retail and leasing at Hudson Yards, also told the newspaper.
