Prada prefers Hollywood for campaigns

The Prada group has a long list of celebrities used to front

its campaign, mostly for its Miu Miu brand, which has seen faces such as Katie Holmes and Chloe Sevingny, but now its menswear is being fronted by Hollywood actors.

Last season Prada used Adrien Brody and Gary Oldman, and for its spring campaign the company chose actors Dane DeHaan, Benicio Del Toro, Harvey Keitel and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in a black and white reportage photographed by David Sims. The images will be unveiled in January.

The campaign, shot in London on a bare set, captures an intimate and minimalist mood that is in sharp contrast to the strong personality of each actor.

The images reflect Miuccia Prada’s desire for simplicity as expressed during her catwalk show last June and highlights her focus on clean lines, layered shirting and lightweight coats.
